They wanted a dedicated internet access (DIA) with IPsec VPN network. This is a critical service with extremely low latency needs and high end SLAs. After exploring different possibilities which included Cisco equipment, our customer preferred an alternative solution based on Watchguard, with which they would feel more comfortable.
The Brodynt team started to work on this solution, taking into account our customer’s suggestions while losing none of their connectivity requirements.
“The solution that Brodynt designed included DIA 10Mb/10Mb for the customer’s smaller sites to 100Mb/100Mb, depending on the size of the site and exact bandwidth requirements”, said Marc Muñoz, Global Access Strategy in Brodynt.
“It was important for the customer to be able to upgrade installed DIA if bandwidth requirements increase, so we in Brodynt had to provide fiber-based dedicated circuits in 6 weeks at most, and then install a Firewall for each site configuring 20+ IPsec tunnels per site”, he added. Brodynt would also be in charge of managing the Watchguard firewalls.
Brodynt provided an internet-based solution based on a high resilient network offering extremely low latencies at a fraction of the cost of an MPLS. Firewalls were used to connect sites around the country. After testing the implemented solution, the speeds were analyzed in order to allow the complete rollout in the country.
Brodynt swiped the market to find the best fit internet-based solution. The team was able to find a competitive fiber optics network with excellent latency results, matching the customer’s high expectations. Brodynt also granted QoS (Quality of service) even as the solution was internet-based.
